1.  Kempty fall

The kempty falls are surrounded by high mountain ranges and are situated at an altitude of approximately 1364 meters above sea level, thus giving it a wonderful surrounding to just sit and listen to the sound of the water which falls on the rocky bed of the water below among the lush green vicinity.

2. Lal Tibba

The highest peak in Mussoorie, with an altitude of over 2290 meters above sea level and provides some amazing and never seen before views of the mountains that house the holy shrines of Kedarnath and Badrinath. To give its visitors a clearer view of the picturesque surroundings a Japanese telescope has been installed at the edge of the cliff also the place is highly preserved from most commercial activities.

3. Happy valley

The center of the Tibetan settlement in Mussoorie, HAPPY VALLEY is situated at a short distance from the mall road. This is the place where Tibetans first arrived in India when they field from Lhasa in 1959, led by their spiritual leader Dalai lama before he moved to Dharamsala. The place is lined with oaks and deodars and has several small hotels and cafeterias and as you walk further into the town, you will get to experience calm like no other.

4. GEORGE  EVEREST MUSSOORIE 

 Sir Geoerge Everest’s house built in the year 1832, the house belonged to the famous surveyor and geographer, Sir George Everest, after whom the worlds highest peak is named.  This popular house was from where sir George Everest helped the British measure the height of the world’s greatest peak. The location of the house is strategic and at the time of Sir Everest, it was used as an observatory to view mountains that demarcated the boundaries of British India. From here, one can get a spectacular view of the Doon Valley and the Himalayas. It is located at a distance of about 8 km from Mussoorie and is accessible by vehicle, although the road is very rough beyond haathi paon. Sir George Everest, stayed in Mussoorie for around a great 30 years.

5.Gun hill  

 Gun hill point is the second-highest point in Mussoorie, the gun hill is a popular place among photographers and Himalayan viewers as it provides a 360-degree view of Himalayan ranges namely Pithwara, binder punch, Srikantha and Gangotri group, etc. one can also witness Mussoorie’ top view from gunpoint with other picturesque views of the Mussoorie and Doon valley.

Gun hill Mussoorie is located at about 500 meters from the mall road, Mussoorie. Visitors also like to enjoy the ropeway ride to Gunpoint, which also provides a scenic view of the city and valley.

6. MUSSOORIE LAKE

The latest addition to the attractions on the Mussoorie Dehradun road, the lake was recently developed as a picnic spot by the city board and the Mussoorie development authority. Mussoorie lake offers a perfect location and facilities for a family and couples picnic spot. This small lake is created by a natural waterfall. Tourists can enjoy boating in the lake. The lake also offers beautiful views of Doon Valley and the surrounding places and it looks magnificent during monsoon and it gives a serene experience. This lake also offers several outdoor activities for children. Mussoorie Lake can be visited through the year, while monsoon is the best season. The road leading to the lake is quite scenic with refreshing greenery and slopes.

7.The Mall Road Mussoorie

The mall road located at the heart of Mussoorie city, it is the main shopping area, it is a total shopper’s delight with everything in the same locations. The Mall road connects two major bazaars, Kulri and Library. The Mall Road was built by the British residents and is dotted with benches and lampposts lined up at the sides of roads. The prime attractions of the area include 1980s style video game parlors and exciting skating rinks available for kids entertainment. An aquarium and a methodist church are also present in the mall road. Alongside the Mall is the tourist office, rows of Tibetan trinkets and several shops selling wooden artifacts. Shopping in Mall Road is one of the top things to do in Mussoorie.

8.CHRIST CHURCH

Christ church was built in 1836 and is believed to be the oldest existing church in the Himalayan ranges. The church was built by the British community, who once resided in the destination. The christ church has a very captivating and eye-catching architecture. You will find the brilliant gothic style architecture and stained glass windows display the happenings in the life of Jesus Christ. The church was once visited by Princess of Wales, who later became Queen Mary of England. She visited Mussoorie in 1906, and when she visited the Church, she planted a deodar tree in its courtyard. The deodar is still standing in the courtyard of the Church. 

Inside the church, there is a high altar that depicts the sufferings and crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The walls and interiors of the church are beautifully decorated to grab the attention of visitors. About a hundred-year-old ancient William Hill organ is present in the church.

Christ church is located at a distance of 0.6 km from Library Bus Stand, Christ Church is an ancient church situated near Kasmanda Palace in Mussoorie.

9. Camel’s Back Road

At a distance of 3 km from Library Bus Stand, Camel’s Back Road is a 3 km long stretch from Kulri bazaar to the Library Chowk in Mussoorie. It is one of the top tourist places to visit in Mussoorie town. One can witness a romantic sunrise and sunset from this road easily. A perfect way to walk with nature at all around. This road has an ancient Hawa Ghar where people can sit and view the mighty peaks. This Hawa Ghar was earlier known as Scandal Point. Telescopes are available here for those wanting a closer look at the Himalayan peaks. There is also an old cemetery here, midway on the loop of the road. The cemetery dates back to the mid-nineteenth century. Many foreigners visit the cemetery in search of graves of their ancestors. The road takes its name from the rock which is shaped like a camel’s hump on its back.

10. Bhatta fall

Bhatta fall is located at a distance of 10.5 km from Mussoorie library bus stand, fall is situated near the township of Mussoorie, Bhatta falls is a major tourist picnic spot and also among the best waterfall to include in Mussoorie tour.

Bhatta Falls is a natural waterfall cascading down from a height of 30 feet into a naturally encircled pool. This waterfall is relatively untouched by commercialization and a good place to spend some time. Visitors can see several picturesque locations ideal for the photographer to catch nature at its best.

 Moreover, Bhatta fall is an ideal place to enjoy a peaceful getaway with your family and friends. Along with the sight of natural springs, you can enjoy swimming, engage your children in fun rides, and treat yourself with delicious foods.

 The up-down ride of Bhatta falls ropeway costs Rs. 150 per person.

11.Landour Mussoorie

Landour is a cantonment town located just 7 kilometers north of the famous hill station Mussoorie. The scenic town of Landour is loaded with peacefulness and serenity of the Garhwal h Himalayas.

Landour is considered very much a part of Mussoorie and is regarded as the ‘Tiara’ of the Queen of Hills. But, though being situated so close to the busy town of Mussoorie, Landour surprisingly remains offbeat, peaceful, unexplored and untouched. 

Landour is about 985 ft above Mussoorie and it lies on the east-west ridge connecting its western end to Mussoorie. Being built by the British Indian army Landour has more European touch to it rather than that of Mussoorie. Landour is a perfect gateway for the ones who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and spend some quality time in the midst of the towering deodar.

 Landour is very famous for its colonial-style architecture and high altitude points that give the travelers a delightful view of the Himalayas of Uttrakhand.
